why does chemistry need you to know about cutting & fire polishing glass rods/tubes?
Possibly because that is the type of equipment you will be using so therefore you should know how to make it to be used and also how much resistance it can take. how much heat, pressure.. etc..

Help With Bamboo Sprout?
I bought one over a year ago at ikea. They have been in a glass vase with little rocks and water.
The whole time they were growing green etc
Now one of them is turning really yellow/orange. it has water and it even has little green leafs growing out of the top of it but how do i get to not die on me?
i put it outside just now for more fresh air and sun light

Does anyone know how to get glass rod for beads to adhere to pure copper wire?
I am using pure copper wire in sculpture and would like to add some glass accents to the ends of the 12 guage wire. The problem is that I can not get the molten glass to take to the hot copper so I can spin and wrap it. The wire is clean and abraded and I have tried acid etching it also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
there is a flux that will help facilitate that check with Philchuck in Washington state they have a vast amount of experimentation going on and will be able to tell you specifically what it is yu need good luck

how do i put a shower rod up against glass and make it sturdy?
i know its weird but our bathtub is surrounded by glass. we havent had a shower in my house for years. it makes me not want to get clean. i just wish i had a shower. i remember my mom tried to put up a rod once which worked for a little while and then fell down. any ideas?
They make tension shower rods that work the same as tension curtain rods. That would be my first choice.
They also make brackets that are susended from the ceiling to hold the rod.
Shower rods are also made in a “D” shape, with the straight side fastened to the back wall of the shower.
One more thought. You could epoxy the plastic closet pole brackets to the glass and then just slip in a lightweight rod.

I Need Help With My Bamboo?
I bought one over a year ago at ikea. They have been in a glass vase with little rocks and water.

To wet for to long.. Root drowning can occur.. Also fungus and other disease like Thyropsis (eeks spelling) can occur.. Dip it in anti fungicide after washing roots thoroughly.. then replant.. They grow in soil well to.. And a lot more longer life…
